Founder, Hilda Chazanovitz & Company

Hilda’s career includes the launch of the National Geographic Channel, one of the most successful cable networks in history, as well as numerous media and technology clients here and abroad. Her work with National Geographic was the basis for beginning her work with mission-based organizations and social impact.

Before establishing her consulting practice in 1995, Hilda served as a founding officer and Chief of Marketing for the largest transactional television network in the U.S., iN DEMAND. She also established Foote Cone Belding Direct, a full-service direct response agency serving such clients as AT&T Communications, Citigroup, Showtime/The Movie Channel and The Bermuda Department of Tourism and served as Director of New Business Development and Marketing at Viacom Inc. Consumer packaged goods and direct marketing assignments for General Foods, Citigroup and American Express at Young & Rubicam created new revenue streams and significant cost savings.

Hilda is an active member of several industry and nonprofit organizations and a well-respected public speaker. She serves on the Advisory Board of Wellness in the Schools, the Planning Committee at the James Beard Foundation and on the President’s Council of Women in Development. She has been a trustee for the Pearl Theatre, CEC ArtsLink and her cooperative association and has served on executive planning committees for The Jewish Museum and The Arts and Business Council.

Trained in the art of storytelling, Hilda has performed at various venues in New York City and is committed to the power of storytelling to inspire and engage support at every level.

Hilda is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the City College of New York and studied at the graduate level in Nonprofit Management and Fundraising.
